Following on from its fundraising sales for Unicef last year, Starbucks Hong Kong is doing another charity effort, this time in support Po Leung Kuk's special children development fund.

From December 17 to 23, for each Christmas special coffee sold, Starbucks will donate HK$1 to help underprivileged and handicapped children.

The charity campaign was announced on Thursday at the Starbucks branch at the Avenue of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui, with special guests actress Sandra Ng Kwan-yu and radio-show host and actor Sammy Leung.

Ng, whose daughter is a big fan of the coffee chain's Gingerbread Man said she would take her whole family to Starbucks during Christmas.

"By doing that, we can support local families with disabled children, making this festive season even more meaningful," she said.

Leung, a loving father, also takes the opportunity to give back to the community.
